- Keep air moving. Open windows when the rain stops, and run fans or exhaust fans in bathrooms and the kitchen.
- Use a dehumidifier in closed rooms, wardrobes or the household shelter, and empty its tank daily.
- Dry wet areas after use. Squeegee shower walls and wipe the bathroom floor.
- Leave a gap between furniture and walls, and avoid stuffing wardrobes too tight.
- Check weekly for spots on ceilings, window frames, grout, shoes and leather bags.
- Give your helper the right tools, such as gloves and a mould cleaner, and agree which surfaces each product is for.
